January 12, 2012 - Charges have been filed against two suspects, one in custody and another sought, in the fatal shooting of a man at 8801 South Braeswood #1406 about 8:15 p.m. on December 28, 2011.

Joshua Ryan Latson (b/m, DOB: 8-2-90) is in custody and charged with capital murder in the 248th State District Court.  Arlando Demarkus Poullard (b/m, DOB: 1-14-87) is charged with capital murder in the 184th State District Court and is currently at-large.  Photos of Latson and Poullard are attached to this news release.

Both are accused in the death of Frederick Washington, 28, of the above address.  Washington suffered a gunshot wound to the chest and was pronounced dead at the scene. 

HPD Homicide Division Sergeants K. Deese, B. Roberts, Senior Police Officer K. Carr and Officer M. Condon reported:

Mr. Washington and his wife were inside their apartment when two male suspects knocked at the door.  Washington's wife let them inside and moments later heard gunshots.  She then discovered her husband lying on the floor with a gunshot wound to the chest.

The two supsects fled the scene on foot.

Further investigation identified Latson and Poullard as suspects in this case.  Last Friday, January 6, Latson was arrested without incident and has cooperated with investigators.
