Investigation into Fatal Shooting at 11305 Clay Road

July 03, 2012 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of two men at 11305 Clay Road about 7:50 p.m. on Monday (July 2). 

The identities of both victims are pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Homicide Division Senior Police Officer M. Khan and Officer I. Ulloa reported:

HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting call in the parking lot of the Taco Cabana at the above location.  According to witnesses, one of the victims was seen speaking with an unknown male suspect outside their respective vehicles.  At some point, witnesses heard a gunshot and then saw the suspect firing several shots at the victim's vehicle as it drove out of the parking lot.  The victim then drove southbound on the Beltway 8 (West Sam Houston Parkway) service road and then crashed into several trees about not far from the shooting scene.  Both victims died at the scene.

The suspect, described only as a Hispanic male with a fade haircut and a beard, fled the scene in a possibly black or dark blue Mercedes Benz S-500 series.
