UPDATE: Surveillance Video in Investigation into Fatal Shooting at 10300 South Gessner

Houston police homicide investigators today (July 18) released surveillance video in the investigation into the fatal shooting of one man and the wounding of another at 10300 South Gessner about 7:50 p.m. on June 29. 

At a news briefing at HPD Headquarters, family members of deceased victim William Trey Ross, 26, of Houston, made impassioned public pleas for any information that would lead to the arrest of those responsible for the death of their loved one.

A second shooting victim was treated and released at Memorial Hermann Southwest Hospital.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant C. Howard and Officer R. Lujan reported:

Mr. Ross was shot while driving his sport utility vehicle at the above location.  His male passenger was also wounded by an unknown suspect(s).  

The suspect's vehicle is described as a red Chevrolet Impala with tinted windows.  A surveillance photo of the vehicle is attached to this news release.  Surveillance video of the suspect's vehicle can be viewed at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yWP_TgfSZSQ&feature=plcp (about the :42 mark).

The motive in the shooting is unknown at this time.
