Help Sought in Identifying Suspect in Surveillance Video

July 19, 2012 - Houston police have released a surveillance video of an unknown suspect robbing a woman of her purse outside a movie theater at 350 Northpark Drive about 6:10 p.m. on July 10.

The suspect is described as a white male in his early to mid 20s, about 5 feet 9 inches tall and weighing about 180 pounds.  He had a goatee and was wearing a light blue plaid sports shirt, tan cargo shorts, hightop basketball sneakers and a baseball cap.

The victim, 48, was outside the Starplex Cinemas at the above address and talking on her cell phone.  After a few minutes on the phone, she was attacked from behind by the suspect who ripped her purse from her arm.  The woman was thrown to the ground and sustained scrapes and bruising to her stomach, arms and knees.

The suspect then ran to a red Mustang with pinstripes and fled the scene.  Witnesses said it had a partial license plate of BHR.
