July 27, 2012 - Houston police are awaiting autopsy results in the death of an infant at 11911 Martin Luther King Boulevard about 2 p.m. on Thursday (July 26).

The two month-old female was transported to Texas Children's Hospital where she was pronounced dead. 

HPD Homicide Division Senior Police Officer B. Oxspring and Officer J. Dominguez reported:

The infant was found unresponsive by family members at the above address.  HFD emergency personnel responded and transported the baby to the hospital.  There were no signs of trauma to the baby and family members were questioned at the scene.  No charges have been filed at this time

The investigation is pending the baby's cause of death, to be determined by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
