Investigation into Body Found at 20900 Birnam Wood

July 27, 2012 - Houston police are investigating the death of a man found at 20900 Birnam Wood about 1 p.m. on Monday (July 23).

The victim, Juan Jose Valerio-Dominguez, 34, of Spring, had suffered stab wounds and was found burned.  A photo of the victim is attached to this news release.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant R. Chandler and Senior Police Officer R. Bolton reported:

Officers responded to a report of a burned body on the side of the road at the above address, a remote area near Bush Intercontinental Airport.  The Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences later identified the victim as Mr. Valerio Dominguez, who had been reported as a missing person to the Harris County Sheriff's Office on Wednesday (July 25).  Family reported he had last been seen on Sunday (July 22) between 11:30 a.m. and noon and last contact was via a text message at 2 p.m.  The victim's vehicle, a 2003 silver Honda Civic CRX, Texas license plates 316 ZGH is still missing.
