June 4, 2012 - Houston police are awaiting autopsy results in the fatal shooting of a woman at 6030 Winsome about 7:45 a.m. on Saturday (June 2).

The victim, Sherisia Nerocker, 26, of Missouri City, suffered an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound and was pronounced dead at the scene. Her cause of death is pending an autopsy the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeants W. Meeler and C. Howard reported:

HPD patrol officers responded to a reported shooting at the above address and found Ms. Nerocker lying on the back porch of an apartment unit. A pistol was recovered near her body. Several suicide notes were found in her nearby vehicle.
