Apparent Murder-Suicide Incident at 8211 Glenheath

June 11, 2012 - Houston police are investigating an apparent murder-suicide of a man and woman at 8211 Glenheath about 11:50 p.m. last Friday (June 8).

The vicim, identified as Sheila Scott, 53, suffered multiple gunshot wounds.  The suspect, her husband, Eugene Scott, 54, suffered a gunshot wound to the head.  Both were prounounced dead at the scene.  Autopsies on both will be conducted by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant C. Howard and Officer R. Lujan reported: 

A male called 911 from the above address and told the calltaker he had just killed his wife. He then hung up the phone. 

Patrol officers responded to the house and found it locked.  Officers attempted to make phone contact with someone at the residence but were unsuccessful.  The HPD SWAT and Hostage Negotiation Teams responded to the scene and made several attempts to contact the residents. After all attempts to make contact failed, officers entered the home and found Mrs. Scott and Eugene Scott deceased.

The investigation is continuing.
