Fatal Traffic Accident at North 2500 Eldridge Parkway

June 21, 2012 - Houston police are investigating a fatal traffic accident at 2500 North Eldridge Parkway about 5:40 p.m. on Wednesday (June 20).


Two victims, a man and a woman, 40 years of age, were transported by Life Flight helicopter to Memorial Hermann Hospital where they later died. A third victim, a 33 year-old woman, was pronounced dead at the scene. The identities of all three victims are pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant N. Perry and Officer C. Tosso reported:

The driver of a red Toyota Corolla was traveling northbound on Eldridge Parkway when a blue Ford Mustang, traveling southbound on Eldridge Parkway, hydroplaned and swerved into oncoming traffic. The Toyota struck the passenger side of the Ford. The driver of a red Toyota Tacoma, also traveling northbound on Eldridge, swerved to avoid the accident and struck the left rear side of the Ford. The passenger of the Corolla was killed on impact. The driver of the Corolla and passenger in the Mustang were transported to the hospital, where both were pronounced dead. The driver of the Mustang was transported to Memorial Hermann Northwest Hospital with non life-threatening injuries. The driver of the Tacoma was not injured.

It is believed wet streets from inclement weather was a factor in the accident.
