Investigation into Fatal Shooting at 3127 Dacca

June 25, 2012 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of one man and wounding of another at 3127 Dacca about 10:20 p.m. on Saturday (June 23).


The identity of the deceased victim, 37, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences. The wounded male, 32, was treated and released from an area hospital.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant M. McStravick and Senior Police Officer P. Vela reported:

The victim was in the front yard of the above address with another male, female and a male child when a white Dodge Magnum drove up. Two unknown black male suspects, armed with guns, exited the vehicle. One of the suspects held the two men at gunpoint in the driveway while the other suspect walked the female and child toward the front of the residence. When the suspect, female and child reached the front door, the other suspect began shooting at the two male victims. Both suspects then fled the location in the Dodge Magnum. One victim died at the scene and the other victim suffered minor injuries. Neither the female nor the child was injured.
