Fatal Shooting at 7400 Irvington

March 4, 2012 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 7400 Irvington about 11 p.m. on Saturday (March 3).

The victim, Jacinto Ponce Rodriguez, 32, of Houston, was pronounced dead at Memorial Hermann Hospital.

HPD Homicide Division Senior Police Officers J. Villareal and B. Evans reported:

Mr. Rodriguez and an acquaintance were in a vehicle and traveling north on Irvington Boulevard when persons inside an adjacent vehicle fired several shots from their vehicle.  Rodriguez’s vehicle was struck twice and he was struck once in the head.  He then lost control of his vehicle and crashed into a ditch on Yorkshire. 

The suspects are described only as Hispanic males in their late teens to mid 20s.
