Fatal Shooting at 2700 Ashford Oak Drive

March 6, 2012 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 2700 Ashford Oak Drive about 5:20 a.m. on Monday (March 5).

The victim, Reza Kheshtnia, 39, of Houston, was pronounced dead at the scene. 

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant W. Bush and Officer C. Sturdivant reported:

Mr. Kheshtnia was returning home from work when his vehicle was blocked in by unknown suspects at the above location.  There was an exchange of gunfire and Kheshtnia was struck several times.  The suspects then fled the scene in Kheshtnia's vehicle, which was later recovered in the 900 block of Threadneedle.  It is believed at least one suspect was wounded during the exchange of gunfire.

At this time, the motive for the shooting appears to be robbery.
