Investigation into Fatal Shooting at 1846 Hollister

March 6, 2012 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 1846 Hollister about 7:30 a.m. on Monday (March 5).

The victim, in his early to mid twenties, had no identification.  His identity is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences. 

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant W. Meeler and Officer J. French reported:

A witness was leaving for work and noticed a red 1991 Toyota Corrola parked in the driveway of her townhome complex at the above address.  As she drove by, she saw a male slumped over the driver's seat of the vehicle.  The female exited her vehicle to help the male, found him unresponsive and then called 9-1-1.  HFD paramedics responded to the scene and determined the male was deceased from a gunshot wound.  Tenants of the complex reported hearing a single gunshot between 4 and 5 a.m.

The victim was not a resident of the complex.
