HPD Homicide Division Sergeant G. Gonzales and Senior Police Officer X. Avila reported:

The victim, Robinson's common-law wife, was fleeing from Robinson and ran to a neighbor's house seeking help after sustaining a gunshot wound.   Robinson went to the neighbor's house, pointed a pistol at him and then took the female victim by force back to his residence.  Gunshots were then heard from inside the residence.  The HPD Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) Team was called to the scene and, as they were surrounding the area, Robinson walked out of the house and surrendered without incident.  The victim was found deceased inside the residence.  Robinson admitted to fatally shooting and killing her.
