Suspect Sought in Credit Card Fraud Investigation

Investigators in the Houston Police Department's Investigative First Responder's Division are asking for the public's help in identifying a suspect wanted in credit card frauds at several stores in the Houston area since February.   

The suspect is described only as a white male, 40 to 60 years of age, 5 feet 10 inches tall and about 170 to 210 pounds.  He was last seen in a white Porsche Cayenne.  Surveillance photos of the suspect and his vehicle  are attached to this news release. 

The suspect obtained stolen credit card information, put the information on a fraudulent credit card and then used the credit card to purchase several thousands of dollars in electronic items, including iPads, digital cameras and gift cards at the following locations:

Feb. 1 - Best Buy - 9670 Old Katy Road
            Best Buy - 16980 Southwest Freeway
Feb. 5 - Best Buy - 5133 Richmond Avenue
            Best Buy - 13238 Northwest Freeway
            Best Buy - 510 Gulfgate Center Mall
Feb. 7 - Game Stop - 510 Gulfgate Center Mall

Investigators are asking anyone with information on the identity of the wanted suspect to contact the HPD Financial Crimes Unit at 713-308-2500 or Crime Stoppera at 713-222-TIPS. 

At 2 p.m. TODAY (Monday, May 15), an investigator from the HPD Investigative First Responder Division will be available to answer questions regarding this case in the lobby of HPD Headquarters, 1200 Travis.
