May 14, 2012 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 6300 Berkridge about 1:45 a.m. today (May 14).

The victim, Dontay Jerome Leonard, 28, of Houston, was pronounced dead at the scene. 

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant W. Elsbury and Senior Police Officer R. Martinez reported: 

A witness was driving by the above location and saw Mr. Leonard lying in the middle of the street.  The witness then called 9-1-1.  HPD patrol officers and HFD paramedics responded to the scene where HFD pronounced Leonard deceased and advised he had been shot numerous times. 

At this time, there are no known witnesses nor suspects.
