Houston Police Department
Suspect Wanted for Stealing from Elderly Residents

September 19, 2012 - *******PLEASE NOTE TIME AND LOCATION OF AVAILABILITY******
Houston police are asking for the public's help in locating a suspect wanted in several theft cases targeting elderly citizens in the north and southeast areas of Houston.

The suspect, Terrance M. Perrilloux (b/m, DOB: 5-6-81), is charged with theft in Harris County Criminal Court #6.  A photo of suspect Perrilloux is attached to this news release.

Investigators in HPD's Burglary and Theft Division received information about a black male suspect, later identified as Perrilloux, representing Potentia Energy and going door-to-door selling energy reduction contracts.  Once inside the homes, Perrilloux would distract the homeowner by asking for water or documentation.  When the homeowner left the room, Perrilloux would then take property.

The most recent incident occurred on July 24 in the 8100 block of Redfern. Perrilloux approached an elderly woman, 84, at her residence to allegedly sell her an energy reduction contract.  Once inside the home, Perrilloux took personal property from the victim.

It is believed Perrilloux may now be actively soliciting in neighborhoods across the Houston area and targeting elderly victims.

Anyone with information in these incidents or on the whereabouts of Terrance Perrilloux is urged to contact the North Division HPD Burglary and Theft Unit at 281-405-6550 or Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.

At 10 a.m. TODAY (Wednesday, Sept. 19), an investigator from the Burglary and Theft Division will be available to answer questions regarding this investigation at the HPD North Patrol Station, 9455 West Montgomery.
