September 28, 2012 - Houston police have arrested a suspect charged in the fatal shooting of three men and the wounding of three females at 9541 Mesa Road about 2:05 a.m. on Sept. 2.

The suspect, Harold Brown (b/m, DOB: 10-9-80), also known as "Scooby," is charged with capital murder in the 208th State District Court.  A photo of Brown is attached to this news release.

Two male victims, Gilbert Kibble, 38, and Curtis Steward, 22, were pronounced dead at the scene.  The third male, Felipe Castillo, 26, was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital where he was pronounced dead.  All suffered multiple gunshot wounds.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant J. Padilla and Senior Police Officer R. Bolton reported:

Officers responded to a shooting in-progress call at the I.C.U. Club parking lot at the above address and found six victims with gunshot wounds.  According to witnesses, two females had an argument inside the club that moved outside to the club's parking lot.  Moments later, a large fight broke out and an unknown black male suspect pulled a gun and began shooting into the crowd.  Three men were struck and three female victims suffered non life-threatening gunshot wounds and were transported to area hospitals in stable condition.

Further investigation led to the identification of Brown as a suspect in this case.  On Thursday (Sept. 27), members of the Gulf Coast Violent Offenders Task Force arrested Brown without incident.  Brown then admitted to his role in the shootings.
