April 9, 2013 - Houston police are investigating a fatal traffic accident in the 2700 block of West T. C. Jester Boulevard about 11:30 p.m. on Monday (April 8).

The male victim, 46, was pronounced dead at the scene. His identitiy is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant S. Sorge and Officer M. Hardt reported:

The victim was driving a Dodge Challenger at a high rate of speed southbound on West T.C. Jester and went through the intersection at the 610 North Loop West service road. The vehicle veered off the roadway to the center median and struck a cement pillar head-on. The victim died on impact.

Evidence at the scene indicated the accident is believed to be a suicide.
