Suspect Arrested, Charged in Fatal Traffic Accident at 1900 North Sam Houston Parkway East

April 15, 2013 - Charges have been filed against a suspect arrested in a fatal traffic accident at 1900 North Sam Houston Parkway East about 4:15 a.m. on Sunday (April 14).

The suspect, Camile Ermine Stanley (b/f, DOB: 10-19-85), is charged with two counts of intoxication manslaughter in the 230th State District Court. A photo of Stanley is not available for release at this time.

The two victims, a male and a female, were pronounced dead at the scene. Their identities are pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant G. Hall and Officer E. Rubio reported:

A white Ford Focus and silver Ford Fusion were traveling eastbound on the North Sam Houston Parkway East. Stanley was driving a gray Nissan Altima in the wrong direction, westbound in the eastbound lanes of the Sam Houston Parkway, and struck the Ford Focus head-on, knocking the vehicle across two lanes of traffic toward the Ford Fusion. The Fusion then struck the Focus, which flipped on its right side and burst into flame. The driver and passenger of the Focus died at the scene. The driver of the Fusion was not injured. Stanley was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital to be treated for her injuries.
