Investigation into Fatal Shooting at 4000 Redbud Street

April 19, 2013 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 4000 Redbud Street about 9 p.m. on Thursday  (April 18).

The victim, Jessie Coleman, 30, of Houston, was pronounced dead at the scene.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant T. Biggs and Senior Police Officer R. Bolton reported:

Officers responded to a report of a shooting at the above address and found Mr. Coleman lying on the corner of Redbud and Danube Street.  He had suffered gunshot wounds to the chest.

Investigators spoke to witnesses at the scene.  One of them saw a green car fleeing from the location.  At this time, there is no known suspect(s) nor motive in the shooting.
