Suspect Arrested, Charged in Fatal Traffic Accident at 3500 Woodland Hills

August 12, 2013 - Charges have been filed against a suspect arrested in a fatal traffic accident at 3500 Woodland Hills about 6:30 p.m. on Sunday (Aug. 11).

The suspect, Bram Mason Vickrey (w/m, DOB: 11-23-83), is charged with intoxication manslaughter in the 176th State District Court. A photo of Vickrey is attached to this news release.

The female victim, 66, was pronounced dead at the scene. Her identity is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant J. Engelhardt and Officer C. Washington reported:

The victim was driving a green Honda Civic and leaving a stop sign on Tree Street at the intersection of Woodland Hills. Vickrey, driving a black Ford Explorer, was traveling on Woodland Park when he ran a stop sign at the intersection of Woodland Hills and struck the Honda. The victim died at the scene. Vickrey and his passenger were not injured.

Further investigation determined Vickrey was intoxicated and he was taken into custody at the scene.
