Investigation into Male Found Deceased at 2138 Minnesota

December 2, 2013 - Houston police are awaiting autopsy results in the death of a male found at 2138 Minnesota about 12:20 a.m. today.

The victim, 71, suffered blunt force trauma to the forehead and was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant B. Williams and Officer J. Horn reported:

The elderly victim was seen by family members exiting the front door of his residence. When he did not return, family members went to check on him and found him unresponsive, lying on the front lawn. Relatives administered CPR and called 9-1-1. HFD paramedics responded and pronounced him deceased.

A preliminary investigation found no signs of foul play. The investigation is pending the results of an autopsy conducted by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
