Investigation into Fatal Shooting at 8650 Pitner

June 3, 2013 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 8650 Pitner about 2:45 a.m. on Sunday (June 2).  

The victim, 21, was pronounced dead at the scene.  His identity is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.  

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant M. McStravick and Senior Police Officers D. Arnold and T. Hufstedler reported:  

The victim was talking with friends in the parking lot of an apartment complex at the above address.  According to witnesses, either a light brown Chrysler PT Cruiser style hatchback or a dark blue Ford Focus sedan drove by.  The back seat passenger fired several shots at the victim, who was struck and killed.  

The suspects are described only as a Hispanic female and Hispanic male.  The male suspect (shooter) is 18 to 19 years of age, with a short, almost balding hairstyle.  He was wearing a blue bandana over his face.
