Investigation into Female Found Deceased at 6300 Goforth

June 19, 2013 - Houston police are investigating the death of a woman found at 6300 Goforth about 5:30 a.m. on Monday (June 17).

The identity of the female victim, 28, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant R. Rodriguez and Officer M. Burrow reported:

Patrol officers were called to the above address and located the female lying on the street near a vacant lot. She had suffered blunt force trauma to her head and there was evidence indicating she might have been strangled. It is believed the female victim was involved in street-level prostitution and may have met her suspect near the intersection of Balkin and Calhoun in the early morning hours on Monday.
