Update: Suspects Arrested, Charged in Male's Death at 1326 Roper

June 21, 2013 - Charges have been filed against three suspects arrested in the death of a man found at 1326 Roper about 8 a.m. on Monday (June 17).

Two suspects, Erick Eduardo Hernandez (H/m, DOB: 5-16-95) and Gragary Thomas Flores (H/m, DOB: 6-15-93), are charged with capital murder in the 184th State District Court. A third suspect, a juvenile male, has been referred to Harris County Juvenile Probation authorities on the same charge. All three suspects are accused in the death of Celestino S. Flores, 74, of the above address, suffered head trauma and was pronounced dead at the scene.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant T. Pool and Senior Police Officer T. Tyler reported:

Mr. Flores was found deceased inside his residence at the above address. A preliminary investigation determined the back door of the residence had been forced open and Flores' vehicle, a 2003 green Ford Explorer, and several other items had been stolen. The vehicle was recovered early Tuesday (June 18) in Alvin, Texas, by the Alvin Police Department. At least three unidentified males, who were inside the vehicle, were detained by Alvin PD for questioning.

Further investigation identified Hernandez, Flores and the juvenile male as the suspects in this case. Hernandez and Flores are currently being held by the Brazoria County Sheriff's Office and are awaiting transfer to the Harris County Jail.
