Suspect Arrested, Charged in Fatal Shooting at 9000 Bissonnet

March 04, 2012 - Charges have been filed against a suspect arrested in the fatal shooting of a man at 9000 Bissonnet about 11:30 p.m. last Thursday (Feb. 28). 

The suspect, Alberto Juarez (H/m, DOB: 9-5-65), is charged with murder in the 184th State District Court.  He is accused in the death of Kenon Nash, 55, of Houston.  Mr. Nash was transported to Memorial Hermann Southwest Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant C. Howard and Officer R. Lujan reported: 

Mr. Nash and the suspect confronted each other in the 9000 block of Bissonnet and got into an argument.  At some point, the suspect shot Nash several times and then fled the scene on foot.  Nash was transported to the hospital where he died. 

Further investigation identified Juarez as the suspect in this case and, on Friday (March 1), he was taken into custody without incident.
