Investigation into Infant's Death at 10602 Caravan

March 05, 2012 - Houston police are investigating the death of an infant found deceased at 10602 Caravan about 9 a.m. Monday (Mar. 4).

The infant's identity and cause of death are pending an autopsy by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant R. Rodriguez and Officer M. Burrow reported:

The infant boy was fed and placed in bed around 3 a.m. on Monday.  He was discovered unresponsive in the bed around 9 a.m. and HFD emergency personnel responded to the scene and pronounced the infant deceased.  There are no signs of trauma and the cause of death is pending autopsy results.

The investigation is continuing.
