Investigation into Male's Death Following Incident at 9510 South Gessner

May 16, 2013 - Houston police are investigating the apparent beating death of a man found at 9510 South Gessner about 6:40 p.m. on May 7. 

The victim, Huiel Taylor, 59, suffered blunt force trauma and was transported to Memorial Hermann Southwest Hospital.  Doctors pronounced him dead from his injuries today (May 16).  A photo of Mr. Taylor is attached to this news release. 

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant R. Blain and Senior Police Officer M. Condon reported: 

Mr. Taylor was last seen about 3 a.m. on May 7.  He appeared to be sleeping in Braeburn Glen Park at the above address.  About 6:40 p.m., Taylor was found by passers-by in the park.  He appeared to have been assaulted.  HFD paramedics were then called to the scene and transported Taylor to the hospital.
