Investigation into Fatal Shooting at 11755 Southlake

August 4, 2014 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 11755 Southlake Drive about 3:45 a.m. today.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant J. Parker and Senior Police Officer S. Sylvester reported:

HPD patrol officers responded to a 9-1-1 call regarding a shooting at an apartment complex at the above address. Officers arrived and found the victim deceased. Further investigation determined four to five masked males kicked in the front door of the apartment where the victim lived and demanded money. At some point during the robbery, the victim was shot. The suspects immediately fled the area on foot.

The suspects are described only as four to five black males.
