Investigation into Fatal Stabbing at 7300 West Little York

August 6, 2014 - Houston police are investigating the fatal stabbing of a man at 7300 West Little York about 11:15 p.m. on Tuesday (August 5).

The victim, Malcolm Bakari McCloud, 24, of Houston, was pronounced dead at the scene.

HPD Homicide Division Senior Police Officer X. Avila and Officer R. Lujan reported:

Mr. McCloud and a co-worker were at the their place of business at the above address. The co-worker stated that McCloud was disrespectful toward him all day, in front of customers. The co-worker then called a supervisor and informed him of McCloud's behavior. When McCloud was told he was being fired, he began punching his co-worker and threatening to kill him. The argument escalated and, at some point, McCloud attempted to stab his co-worker with a screw driver. Fearing for his safety, the co-worker stabbed McCloud with a pocket knife. McCloud died at the scene.

No charges have been filed at this time as the investigation is continuing.
