Suspect Arrested, Charged in Fatal Stabbing at 2130 Highway 6 South

August 20, 2014 - Charges have been filed against a suspect arrested in the fatal stabbing of a man at 2130 Highway 6 South about 4:55 a.m. on Monday (August 18).

The suspect, Quan Nguyen (a/m, 48), is charged with murder in the 230th State District Court. He is accused in the killing of Brian McBee, 35. A photo of Nguyen is attached to this news release.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant M. A. Holbrook and Officer K. McDonald reported:

Mr. McBee was at the Crossland Studios at the above address with several acquaintances. At some point, there was an argument between several of the females in the room. During the argument, McBee was fatally stabbed.
Further investigation identified Nguyen as the suspect in the case and he was taken into custody on Tuesday (August 19) without incident.
