Investigation into Fatal Traffic Accident at 1800 Turning Basin Drive
August 25, 2014 - Houston police are investigating a fatal traffic accident at 1800 Turning Basin Drive about 9:55 p.m. on Thursday (August 22).
The male victim, 61, was transported to Memorial Hermann Hospital in critical condition. Doctors pronounced him dead on Saturday (August 23). His identity is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant G. Lopez and Officer A. Colunga reported:
The victim was operating a blue Kawasaki motorcycle southbound on Turning Basin when, for unknown reason, he lost control of the bike. The victim was transported to the hospital where he later died.
The investigation is continuing.
