December 1, 2014 - Houston police are investigating the accidental shooting of a male at 4702 Mangum about 6 a.m. on Sunday (November 30).

The victim, 14, of the above address, was transported via Life Flight Helicopter to Memorial Hermann Hospital in critical condition.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant T. Pool and Senior Police Officer S. Straughter reported:

The victim was asleep in his bedroom when he was shot by his 9 year-old brother, who had been playing with a handgun. The victim was then taken to the hospital.

No charges have been filed at this time.  The investigation is continuing.
