December 26, 2014 - Houston police are investigating a fatal traffic accident at 4700 Boone about 4:25 a.m. on Wednesday (Dec. 24).

The identity of the male victim, 24, is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant G. Lopez and Officer D. Ashford reported:

The victim was driving a white Toyota Tacoma pickup truck northbound on Boone Road when he failed to drive in a single lane and struck a tree.  The driver was pronounced dead at the scene.

The investigation is continuing.
