Houston Police Department
Investigation into Fatal Shooting at 5959 Pinemont

December 31, 2014 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a woman at 5959 Pinemont about 10:30 p.m. on Monday (December 29).

The victim, Angel Jackson, 26, of the above address, was pronounced dead at the scene.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant M. L. Holbrook and Senior Police Officer P. Vela reported:

Three of Ms. Jackson's co-workers received text messages stating she had been shot and to call the police. HPD patrol officers responded to the above address and found Jackson deceased in the bedroom of her apartment. Further investigation determined there had been no forced entry and Jackson's 14-month-old child, Tyemetheus Pack, was missing, as well as the child's father, Tumetheus Lestavion Pack. An Amber Alert was activated early in the investigation.

Investigators obtained information that Arkansas law enforcement conducted a check at the Tumetheus' residence in Arkansas and linked him to a white Chevrolet Impala at the residence. The vehicle was seen by Arkansas police on the road just outside of Prescott, Arkansas. Arkansas police then conducted a traffic stop. At some point during the traffic stop, Tumetheus fired his weapon and died of an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound. Baby Tyemetheus was recovered from the vehicle, unharmed.

The investigation is continuing.
