January 02, 2014 - Houston police are investigating the fatal stabbing of a man at 7170 Parker about 8:25 p.m. on Tuesday (Dec. 31).  

The victim, Van Rogers, 54, of the above address, was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital where he was pronounced dead.  

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant J. French and Senior Police Officer M. Stahlin reported:  

While his wife prepared dinner, Mr. Rogers stepped outside his apartment at the above address with a friend.  Rogers returned to his apartment a short time later with a stab wound to the chest.  HFD paramedics responded to the scene and transported him to the hospital, where he died.  

At this time, there are no known witnesses nor suspects.
