Investigation into Fatal Shooting at 6425 Westheimer

January 15, 2014 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man and wounding of a woman at 6425 Westheimer about 12 p.m. on Tuesday (Jan. 14).  

The male victim, of the above address, was pronounced dead at the scene.  His identity is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.  The female, Alicia Duncan, 22, of the above address, suffered a non life-threatening gunshot wound and was transported to Memorial Hermann Hospital to be treated.   

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant A. Versluis and Senior Police Officer D. Shorten reported:  

Ms. Duncan was shot inside her apartment at the Palms of Westheimer Apartment complex at the above address.  She ran from the apartment and sought help from neighbors in the complex.  HFD paramedics responded and transported Duncan to the hospital.  HPD patrol officers arrived and found the male victim deceased inside the same apartment.  He had suffered multiple gunshot wounds.  

At this time, there is no known motive or suspect (s).
