Suspect Arrested, Charged in Fatal Stabbing at 3766 Tanglewilde

July 3, 2014 - Charges are pending against a suspect arrested in the fatal stabbing of a woman at 3766 Tanglewilde #2 about 6:10 p.m. on Wednesday (July 2).

The suspect, Russell Neal (b/m, 40) has a pending charge of murder.  No photo of Neal is available at this time.

The victim, Catherine Martinez, 24, of the above address, suffered multiple stab wounds as well apparent blunt force trauma and was pronounced dead at the scene.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant J. Rhoads and Officer R. Ridel reported:

At about 6:10 p.m., suspect Neal entered a Harris County Sheriff's Office station and stated his wife was deceased at their residence.  

Houston Fire Department EMS crews responded to the above address and found Ms. Martinez deceased.

Neal was taken into custody without incident and has made no further comments regarding this incident.
