Fatal Traffic Accident at 2300 Southwest Freeway
June 16, 2014 - Houston police are investigating a fatal traffic accident at 2300 Southwest Freeway (South U.S. Highway 59) about 5:55 p.m. on Saturday (June 14).
The female victim, 12, was transported to Memorial Hermann Hospital where doctors pronounced her dead on Sunday (June 15).
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant G. Lopez and Officer Rodriguez reported:
The driver of a blue Ford Explorer was traveling southbound on the Southwest Freeway, had a tire blowout and was unable to stay in a single lane. The vehicle rolled and the victim was ejected. She was then taken to the hospital.
