2nd UPDATE: Two More Suspects Arrested in Fatal Shooting at 7300 Brompton

March 3, 2014 - Houston police have arrested two more suspects and have charged a total of four suspects in the fatal shooting of a man at 7300 Brompton about 10:45 p.m. on Feb. 20.

Latoya Marie Palmer (b/f, 27) and Marquisha Anita Williams (b/f, 18) are charged with capital murder in the 248th State District Court.  The females were arrested last Friday (Feb. 28) without incident.

Two other suspects, Jock Quinn Wilson (b/m, 28), and Jermaine Palmer (b/m, 23), are charged with capital murder in the same court.  All four suspects are accused in the killing of Donalvon Odell Rhyne, 52, who died at the scene.

Photos of the suspects are not available for release pending further robbery investigations.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant W. Meeler and Senior Police Officer J. Villareal reported:

Officers were called to the above address about 7 a.m. on Feb. 21.  Upon arrival, they found Mr. Rhyne behind the wheel of his United Cab, deceased from an apparent gunshot wound.

Investigators determined Rhyne had been approached the previous evening by two black male suspects in their mid to late 20s and wearing baggy pants.  One suspect had a white sweater tied around his waist.  The males violently struggled with Rhyne in an apparent robbery attempt and then shot him.  The suspects then ran north on Brompton towards Holcombe.

It was learned Wilson and Jermaine Palmer were suspects in this case.  Wilson was arrested last Tuesday (Feb. 26) without incident and Palmer was taken into custody last Wednesday (Feb. 26).

Further investigation identified Latoya Palmer (Jermaine Palmer's sister) and Marquisha Williams as additional suspects in this case and they were subsequently charged.

At 2 p.m. TODAY (Monday, Mar. 3), an investigator in the HPD Homicide Division will be available to answer questions in this case in the Media Briefing Room on the first floor of HPD Headquarters at 1200 Travis.

NOTE: REPORTERS AND PHOTOGRAPHERS MUST ENTER THE BUILDING THROUGH THE PUBLIC ENTRANCE AT 1200 TRAVIS, GO THROUGH THE METAL DETECTORS AND PROVIDE VALID IDENTIFICATION BEFORE BEING ESCORTED TO THE MEDIA BRIEFING ROOM.
