Investigation into Bodies Found at 516 Westmont

March 7, 2014 - Houston police are awaiting autopsy results in the deaths of three people found following a house fire at 516 Westmont about 3:30 p.m. on Thursday (March 6).

The victims, believed to be two adult females and one adult male, were pronounced dead at the scene.  Their identities and cause of death are pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.  At this time, foul play is not suspected.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant W. Elsbury and Senior Police Officer S. Straughter reported:

Houston firefighters responded to a house fire at the above address.  After putting out the fire and inspecting the scene, the bodies of the three victims were located.  HFD Arson and HPD Homicide investigators were then called to the scene and are currently investigating.
