UPDATE: Suspects Arrested, Charged in Fatal Shooting at 8565 West Sam Houston Parkway South

March 11, 2014 - Charges have been filed against two suspects arrested in the fatal shooting of a man found at 8565 West Sam Houston Parkway South about 8:30 p.m. last Thursday (March 6).  

One suspect, Marquis E. Davis (b/m, 19) is charged with capital murder and aggravated robbery with a deadly weapon in the 228th State District Court.   The other suspect, Donald Nealey (b/m, 19), is charged with capital murder and aggravated robbery with a deadly weapon in the 183rd State District Court.  Both are accused in the killing of Stanly Babu Kumbanattel, of Houston, who died at the scene.  Davis and Nealey are also charged for their roles in the robbery incident at the House of Pies at 6141 Westheimer immediately after Mr. Kimbanattel's death.  

Photos of both suspects are not available for release at this time, pending further investigation.  

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant E. Cisneros and Officer V. McLean reported:  

The victim was shot several times in the parking lot of an apartment complex at the above address.  Witnesses reported seeing an unknown male suspect leaving the area where the victim was found.  The suspect then left the scene in a 2010 to 2011 black Acura.  

Further investigation identified Davis and Nealey as the suspects in this case.  Davis was arrested last Friday (March 7) without incident.  Nealy was arrested on Monday (March 10) without incident.
