March 25, 2014 - Houston police are investigating a fatal traffic accident at 9100 Scott about 2:10 p.m. today (March 25).  

The identity of the victim is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.  

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant P. Kung and Officer T. Branford reported:  

A blue Pontiac Grand Prix and a silver Pontiac G6 were traveling at a high rate of speed southbound on Scott when one of the vehicles lost control and struck a tree.  One person was ejected from the Grand Prix and died at the scene.  At least five other persons were transported to Ben Taub General and Memorial Hermann Hospitals in unknown conditions.  

The investigation is continuing.
