Investigation into Female Found Deceased at 1932 Jean

March 27, 2014 - Houston police are awaiting autopsy results in the death of a female found after a fire was extinguished at 1932 Jean about 7:45 p.m. on Wednesday (March 26).  

The identity of the victim is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.  

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant J. Rhoads and Officer R. Ridel reported:  

HFD personnel responded to a fire at the above address.  As they were extinguishing the fire, HFD personnel found the female deceased.  According to neighbors, the female was alone in the residence at the time of the fire.  The cause of the fire has not been determined at this time.  

There were no signs of other wounds found on the female.  
The investigation is pending the female's cause of death, to be determined by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
