UPDATE: Suspect Wanted, Charged in Female's Death at 6821 South Gessner

March 28, 2014 - Charges have been filed against a suspect wanted in the death of a woman found at 6821 South Gessner about 5:25 p.m. last Saturday (March 22).  

The suspect, Osvaldo Fernandez-Aguilar (H/m, 23), is charged with capital murder in the 351st State District Court.  He is accused in the killing of Maria Lucrecia, 27, of Houston.  Ms. Lucrecia suffered blunt force trauma to the head and was pronounced dead at the scene.  

A photo of suspect Fernandez-Aguilar, who is at large, is attached to this news release.  

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant M. Jewell and Senior Police Officers R. Bolton and M. Miller reported:  

Ms. Lucrecia was working as a cleaning lady at the Eclipse Gentlemen's nightclub at the above address when an unknown suspect(s) gained entry into the club and killer her.  It was learned Lucrecia was five months pregnant.  The suspect stole cash from a register before fleeing the scene.  

Further investigation and surveillance video previously released to the media identified Fernandez-Aguilar as the suspect in this case and he was subsequently charged.
