Investigation into Fatal Shooting at 6009 Bellaire Boulevard

March 31, 2014 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 6009 Bellaire Boulevard about 4:20 a.m. on Saturday (March 29).  

The male victim was pronounced dead at the scene.  His identity is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.  

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant R. Rodriguez and Senior Police Officer D. Shorten reported:  

The victim was found lying in the parking lot of the apartment complex at the above address.  A witness reported hearing several gunshots, walked outside and found the victim lying in the parking lot.  The witness attempted to provide medical assistance but the victim was pronounced deceased by HFD personnel.  A preliminary investigation determined the victim was last seen at the "Caribe Sports Bar," across the street from the above address, prior to the shooting.
