Investigation into Man Fatally Shot at 3213 Proswimmer

November 24, 2014 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 3213 Proswimmer about 4 p.m. last Friday (Nov. 21).

The identity of the victim is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Homicide Division Officers M. Arrington and R. Klementich reported:

The victim was sitting on the front porch of the residence at the above address when three males in a black sport utility vehicle drove up and backed the vehicle in the driveway of the residence.  When the victim walked up to the driver's side of the SUV, at least one of the suspects inside the vehicle fired multiple shots and struck the victim.  At least one suspect then fired shots at witnesses in the area.  None of the witnesses was struck and the SUV fled the scene.  The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.  The suspects are described only as black males.
