October 2, 2014 - Houston police are awaiting autopsy results in the death of a woman found at 6101 West Bellfort about 11:45 a.m. on Wednesday (October 1).

The identity of the woman and her cause of death are pending an examination by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant P. Jewell reported:

The woman's body was found in a shallow body of water between the Oakwood Villa Apartments (at the above address) and a residential area on the other side of a bayou. The unidentified woman had several tattoos on her body and had no obvious signs of trauma.
