Suspect Arrested, Charged in Fatal Stabbing at 7802 Westheimer

April 13, 2015 - Houston police have a arrested a suspect charged in the fatal stabbing of a man at 7802 Westheimer about 11:45 p.m. on Saturday (April 11).

The suspect, Abel Miranda (H/m, 48), is charged with murder in the 351st State District Court. A photo of Miranda is not available at this time.

He is accused in the death of James Leslie Warren, 43, of Houston. 

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant R. Rodriguez and Officer M. Burrow reported:

Mr. Warren and a male suspect were involved in a struggle outside a convenience store at the above address.  During the argument, the suspect pulled a knife and stabbed Warren multiple times.  Warren was pronounced dead at the scene. 

Further investigation identified Miranda as the suspect in this case and he was arrested the next day (April 12).
